Slipping away Part 1

The headlights of her SUV bounced around against the trees, as she slowly drove down the dirt road. Nearing the small packing lot the lights illuminated his vehicle and his shadow leaning against the driver's door. She killed the engine and sat in darkness in the car for a few moments. Neither of them were really sure the other would actually show up. She reached down and twirled the rings on her left ring finger around playing with them before she opened the car door and stepped out.
He didn't move. She gently shut the car door and even the slight noise broke the silence. The cool fall breeze chilled her as she stepped around the front of her car slowly closing the distance to stand in front of him. His eyes burning into her with every step she took. Standing directly in front of him she reached out brushing the pads of her fingers against the bare skin of his arm.
Without warning he reaches out with his left arm grabbing her to him. Pressing the  length of him against her. Holding her loosely expecting her to push him away yet again. As she has done a million times. Yet instead she leans into him the weight of her body melding against his. As he moves to stand up moving his weight off of the car door the shift in movement pushes her backwards and he suddenly grabs her with both arms to catch her.
